Exchanges: Domestic Orders

HOLIDAY 2020 EXCHANGE POLICY UPDATE:

Eligible on purchases made between 11/27/20 and 12/31/20 you may request an exchange within forty five (45) days of the receipt of your order. All other exchange terms and conditions listed below will still apply. Orders placed after 1/1/21 will be subject to our normal seven (7) day exchange eligibility window below.

We accept exchanges under the following terms and conditions:  

You may request an exchange of your item(s) within seven (7) days of receiving your order if you qualify under one of the following exchange categories: 

(a) You believe your item has a manufacturing defect or was damaged in shipping.

(b) You chose the incorrect item sizing.

(c) You would like to exchange the item you ordered for a different item or variant.

All items, regardless of category, must meet the following criteria to be exchanged:

  • In unworn and new condition
  • With all original packaging
  • (If included) an intact tamper evident seal

Failure to meet these criteria will make you ineligible for an exchange.

Exchanges for: (a) Damage/Defect

Restocking Fee: None

If you are exchanging your item due to a manufacturer defect or damage which occurred during shipping, please contact us at support@doublemoss.com and provide photographs of the defect you believe to exist in the product. Please do this before requesting an online exchange. You must contact us no later than seven (7) days after receiving your item to qualify for an exchange. Once your exchange has been approved, you must send your item with a postmarked date no later than seven (7) days after your exchange was authorized. Doublemoss reserves the right to reject any exchanges at any time.

Exchanges for: (b) Sizing

Restocking Fee: None

If you are exchanging your item for a reason (b) sizing, you may only exchange for the exact same item in a different size. You can only exchange for sizing once per order without incurring a restocking fee. If your new requested size is out of stock your item may take up to four weeks to be handmade. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs, including insuring your item during transit. Doublemoss is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items that you send to us. You must send your item back to us with a postmarked date no later than seven (7) days after you received your exchange authorization number via email. Once we receive your item and it is inspected you will receive an email notification with your new order details and shipping info if available. Doublemoss reserves the right to reject any exchanges at any time.

Exchanges for: (c) Change of mind

Restocking Fee: 30% 

Suppose you would like to exchange your item for a different item. In that case, you will be charged a 30% restocking fee of the total order value, excluding any applicable taxes paid. Any shipping fees paid are non-refundable. Once we receive your item, we will issue you the refunded amount on a gift card. The Gift Card's total value will be your original items value minus the 30% restocking fee. For example, if your item was purchased at $100 (excl. tax/shipping), you will receive a Doublemoss gift card for $70.00. Gift cards are digital and will be emailed to you. Gift cards for exchanges do not expire.

Do not send items to us for exchange if you do not have a valid return authorization number. You will be responsible for paying for any return shipping of unauthorized items sent to our facility.

Items that are not postmarked within seven (7) days of the return authorization will be rejected. You will be responsible for paying for the cost of shipping and insurance of your item back to your destination. Exchanges for any reason after the seven (7) day exchange window has passed are not accepted.
